1. SG Donte DiVincenzo

A bench backcourt that features Immanuel Quickley and Donte DiVincenzo could very well be one of the best in the entire NBA. The two-way play these two bring to the court every night would fit incredibly well alongside one another. As for DiVincenzo himself, the three-point shooting and defense he has would fix two of the bigger problems New York’s roster currently has.

Through 72 games last season, DiVincenzo averaged 9.4 points, 4.5 rebounds, 3.5 assists, and 1.3 steals. Alongside this, he shot 43.5% from the field and 39.7% from three on 5.3 attempts.

DiVincenzo has deep connections with both Josh Hart and Jalen Brunson, having won a national championship with them at Villanova. While they haven’t directly said they are pulling for him to sign with the Knicks, Hart has mentioned that he’d love to play with his old college teammate. Adding a player who would not only make a massive impact on the court but help the team mesh even better than they already have been is something the organization must try to do.

The Knicks would likely have to use their MLE to bring DiVincenzo in. While fans would want a longer-term deal, it’s likely all the Knicks can offer with their current cap situation unless they pull off a sign and trade.
