Rumors: James Dolan to Sell New York Knicks

There are reports that James Dolan is in serious talks about selling the New York Knicks to an investment group. The Daily Knicks tried to contact a New York Knicks’ spokesperson for further information and was declined a statement.

Multiple unnamed sources have former-New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg as the potential majority owner in the investment group Dolan is intending to sell the New York Knicks to. Bloomberg’s current real time net worth is $36 Billion as per Forbes. Bloomberg is the 14th  richest person in the world as per Forbes, and has the means to single handily buy The Madison Square Garden Company.

Bloomberg helped bring the NBA All-Star Game to New York this season, and now seemly is looking to help rebuild the New York Knicks. The New York Knicks tied a franchise worst 60th loss of the season against the Bulls and will inevitably have THE WORST season in New York Knicks’ franchise history. The Knickerbockers were founded in 1946, I for one am glad to be witnessing and documenting a momentous season, a season that has been in the making for 69 years! (not sure what that sentence meant? Neither am I…-_-“)

Dolan has finally decided he has done enough, that there is no way he can ever top this year of stickiness and incompetence. Dolan wants to go out on TOP!

– WORST RECORD IN FRANCHISE HISTORY

– Continually rising ticket prices to unbearable levels

– Preemptively preparing to raise cable bill prices

– Alienating loyal fans by responding with crazy emails (See below)

"Subject: I have been a knicks fan since 1952At one stage I thought that you did a wonderful thing when you acquired EVERYTHING from your dad. However, since then it has been ALL DOWN HILL. Your working with Isaiah Thomas & everything else regarding the Knicks. Bringing on Phil Jackson was a positive beginning, but lowballing Steve Kerr was a DISGRACE to the knicks. The bottom line is that you merely continued to interfere with the franchise. As a knicks fan for in excess of 60 years, I am utterly embarrassed by your dealings with the Knicks. Sell them so their fans can at least look forward to growing them in a positive direction Obviously, money IS NOT THE ONLY THING. You have done a lot of utterly STUPID business things with the franchise. Please NO MORE.Respectfully,[Aaron Bierman’s dad]On Fri, Jan 23, 2015 at 8:15 PM, James Dolan wrote:Mr BiermanYou are a sad person. Why would anybody write such a hateful letter. I am.just guessing but ill bet your life is a mess and you are a hateful mess. What have you done that anyone would consider positive or nice. I am betting nothing. In fact ill bet you are negative force in everyone who comes in contact with you. You most likely have made your family miserable. Alcoholic maybe. I just celebrated my 21 year anniversary of sobriety. You should try it. Maybe it will help you become a person that folks would like to have around. In the mean while start rooting.for the Nets because the Knicks dont want you.RespectfullyJames Dolan"

Multiple unnamed sources also said that Dolan wants to go and duplicate this same type of success with his jazz band JD & The Straight Shot as he has so masterfully done with the New York Knicks this season.

Best of luck to Mr. Dolan from the Daily Knicks in his future endeavors, and let’s hope Mayor Bloomberg can help bring a third championship to New York. Although with the current state of the Knicks, who knows if and when that will be? I do know one thing, that this article is completely bogus. Happy April Fools’ Day from all of us at the Daily Knicks! I know…if only James Dolan would ACTUALLY sell the team RIGHT!
