Knicks vs Cavaliers injury report for Game 5 playoffs: Is Julius Randle playing?
Believe it or not, the New York Knicks have a chance to win their first-round playoff series against the Cavaliers on Wednesday. With a 3-1 lead, the Knicks could eliminate the Cavaliers in Cleveland. If not, the series will return to the Garden for Game 6 on Friday.
In Sunday’s Game 4 win, Julius Randle was benched for the entire fourth quarter after struggling on both ends of the court. His lackluster effort on defense might’ve been what caused Tom Thibodeau to keep him sidelined down the stretch of a pivotal game.
After the win, Thibodeau made it known that Randle was still dealing with his ankle injury but didn’t go into detail. Randle practiced fully with the team on Tuesday before the Knicks departed for Cleveland.
