The New York Knicks will begin their first-round playoff series on Saturday in Cleveland against the Cavaliers. Several Knicks will be making their playoff debuts, including Josh Hart. The 28-year-old is on his fourth team since being drafted in 2017 and will have his first shot at making some noise in the postseason.

Hart will be going up against his good friend Donovan Mitchell, who has been one of the main stories of the series. Mitchell was close to getting to return home to New York and being a Knick during the offseason, but Leon Rose and the front office had other plans. Now, in Mitchell’s first year in Cleveland, he and the Cavaliers will be squaring off against the Knicks.

On Wednesday, Hart spoke to the media and talked about how he’s feeling leading up to Saturday. He isn’t looking for advice on how to approach the playoffs but is instead looking forward to getting to experience it himself.

Hart also touched on his friendship with Mitchell and mentioned that he was on FaceTime with the Cavaliers star guard earlier that day.

Knicks’ Josh Hart reveals he and Donovan Mitchell have the same barber

On FaceTiming Donovan Mitchell, Josh Hart said: “We have the same barber. I was making sure that the barber was going to be there so I can get a fresh cut.”

The Knicks will travel to Cleveland and stay there through Tuesday, which is when Game 2 will take place. Hart was just making sure that he’ll be able to look the part ahead of his much-anticipated playoff debut.

When asked who the barber would be rooting for in the first-round series, Hart admitted that since he was Mitchell’s barber first, he’d be rooting for the Cavaliers. Hopefully in the Eastern Conference Semifinals, the barber will have no choice but to root for the Knicks.

Sending Cleveland home (Cancun on 3!) would be a huge step forward for New York. That’d make Josh Hart and Donovan Mitchell’s offseason workouts together that much more interesting.
