No Jalen Brunson, no problem. With the Knicks’ starting point guard out with left foot soreness, Immanuel Quickley stepped up to the plate and came up huge in New York’s 131-129 double-overtime win over Boston on Sunday.

Quickley has made a huge jump in year three, which is part of the reason why the Knicks were reportedly listening to trade offers for him ahead of the deadline. He won’t be going anywhere anytime soon, though.

In 55 minutes, the 23-year-old posted a career-high 38 points (15-of-28), eight rebounds, and seven assists, two blocks, and only one turnover. In the second half, New York went on a 30-7 run where Quickley scored/assisted on 18 of those points. In the second overtime, he was the one to score the Knicks’ three baskets. He might’ve been running on fumes, but that didn’t stop him from dancing around and celebrating on what will be a night that he and Knicks fans will always remember.

Knicks players show their support for Immanuel Quickley after huge double overtime win over Celtics

Shortly after New York defeated Boston for the third consecutive time this season, Knicks players took to Twitter to show their support for Immanuel Quickley.

You know that Obi Toppin had to shout out his fellow 2020 first-round pick. Toppin seems to be Quickley’s closest friend on the team.

Jalen Brunson got to watch a show on the sideline, so you know that he wasn’t going to hold back with his tweets.

In case you’re still wondering who Immanuel Quickley is, he’s him. And Himbo Fisher. And Himbo Fallon. And Him Hortons.

RJ Barrett, who had quite the night with 29 points and 11 rebounds, chimed in on Twitter as well.

The Knicks worked their 9-5 on Sunday and sprinkled in some overtime, too. Their next paychecks are going to look really nice.

Next up for Immanuel Quickley and New York is the Charlotte Hornets. It won’t be as exciting of a matchup as the game against Boston was, but the energy level in MSG should still be through the roof.

Don’t miss Immanuel Quickley’s next show.
