The New York Knicks (8-7) will take their two-game winning streak to Chase Center on Friday night to face the Golden State Warriors (6-9). The last odds favor the defending champions.

New York entered the road trip after getting thumped by Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Oklahoma City but was able to turn things around with big wins in Utah and Denver. To start the season, the Warriors have been struggling, so the Knicks picking up a third straight win isn’t unimaginable.

RJ Barrett’s dealing with a reported sickness, which could be part of the reason for his performance in the past few games. A month into the season, he’s still yet to get in some sort of groove. However, Julius Randle has pulled through for the Knicks on the road, and for whatever reason, he usually plays best on the West Coast. This could be another big game for the forward that started his career in California back in 2014.

Will New York be able to knock off a lowly Golden State squad? Or will the Warriors come alive?

Knicks Injury Report

Mitchell Robinson (knee) will be out for New York. Jonathan Kuminga (non-COVID illness) is questionable for Golden State.

New York Knicks vs Golden State Warriors Prediction

Steph Curry dropped 50 points on Wednesday, but the Warriors still lost by double-digits. That was against the Suns, one of the top teams in the league, but the Knicks’ energy could be enough to guide them to another win on the road.

After holding a players-only meeting on Monday, New York is meshing together while Golden State is falling apart. I’m going to take the under as the Knicks beat their third straight Western Conference opponent.

New York 113, Golden State 107
