Knicks vs. Bulls 2022 NBA Summer League preview for July 10
The New York Knicks will be back in 2022 NBA Summer League action on Sunday against the Chicago Bulls on the campus of the University of Las Vegas, Nevada.
On Friday, the Knicks beat the Golden State Warriors, 101-88. Quentin Grimes led the way for New York with 24 points (8-of-21), 4 rebounds, 8 assists, and 2 steals. Feron Hunt (who’s on a two-way contract) posted 17 points (8-of-12), 3 rebounds, 2 assists, and a game-high 7 steals. Jericho Sims, whose two-way contract was recently converted, had 16 points (7-of-8) and 10 rebounds.
Trevor Keels, the No. 42 pick out of Duke, started in his first professional contest and had 3 points, 6 rebounds, 2 assists, and 4 steals.
There was a lot to like about the way that the Knicks performed in their first game in Vegas. It’s just the summer league, but having a young roster, New York has to focus on its youth. And after all, there’s reason to believe that Grimes could be a starter this season.
In the Bulls’ first game of the summer, Chicago beat the Dallas Mavericks, 100-99. Marko Simonovic had 27 points and 13 rebounds. Malcolm Hill scored 18.
