Knicks fan’s guide to 2022 NBA Summer League in Las Vegas

The New York Knicks will first take the 2022 NBA Summer League stage on Friday, July 8 at the Thomas & Mack Center and Cox Pavilion on the campus of the University of Las Vegas, Nevada. Anticipation is high as fans will get to see some of the team’s young stars on the court.

The Knicks will be led by head coach Dice Yoshimoto, who coached the summer squad last year and made history by being the second Asian-American to be a coach of any capacity in the NBA.

Let’s take a look at who Yoshimoto will be coaching.

Who’s going to be playing for the Knicks in the 2022 NBA Summer League?

  • Jahvon Blair (G): A 2022 Georgetown graduate who played in Canada during 2021-22.
  • Quentin Grimes (SG): New York’s 2021 No. 25 draft pick who played in 46 games in 2021-22.
  • Trevor Keels (G): The Knicks’ 2022 No. 42 draft pick out of Duke.
  • Micah Potter (F): A 2021 Wisconsin graduate who played in the G League for the Sioux Falls Skyforce during 2021-22.
  • Aamir Sims (C): A 2021 Clemson graduate who played for the Westchester Knicks in 2021-22.
  • Garrison Brooks (F/C): A 2021 UNC graduate who played for Mississippi State as a graduate transfer in 2021-22. He signed an Exhibit 10 contract with New York after the 2022 draft.
  • Feron Hunt (F): Attended SMU for three years and signed a two-way contract with the Knicks in March of 2022. He appeared in two games.
  • Miles McBride (G): New York’s 2021 No. 36 draft pick who played in 40 games in 2021-22.
  • Quinton Rose (F): A 2020 Temple graduate who played for the Westchester Knicks in 2021-22.
  • Jericho Sims (C): New York’s 2021 No. 58 draft pick who played in 41 games in 2021-22 on a two-way contract.
  • Vince Edwards (F): A 2018 Purdue graduate who most recently played in the G League for the Iowa Wolves in 2021-22.
  • DaQuan Jeffries (F): A 2019 Tulsa graduate who signed a 10-day contract with the Memphis Grizzlies in January of 2022.
  • Jean Montero (G): He signed an Exhibit 10 contract with the Knicks after the 2022 draft. He most recently played for Team Overtime of Overtime Elite.
  • D’Shawn Schwartz (G): A 2021 Colorado graduate who played for George Mason as a graduate transfer in 2022.
  • M.J. Walker (G): A 2021 Florida State graduate who signed a 10-day contract with the Phoenix Suns in December of 2021 before returning to the Westchester Knicks.
