On the second half of a back-to-back, the New York Knicks are in Florida to face the Orlando Magic. The 34-44 Knicks are in 12th place in the East and the 20-58 Magic are in 15th.

On Saturday afternoon, New York fell to Cleveland, 119-101. Obi Toppin scored a career-high 20 points (5-of-10) in Julius Randle’s absence. Evan Fournier had 19 (6-of-10). Immanuel Quickley scored 17 (6-of-17) off the bench.

On Friday, Orlando was beaten by Toronto, 102-89. Mo Bamba led the Magic with 15 points (6-of-11) and Ignas Brazdeikis finished with 13 (5-of-7) off the bench.

This season, the Knicks are 1-2 against Orlando, but the two teams haven’t played each other in over four months. On Nov. 17, the Magic beat New York, 104-98, behind Terrence Ross’ 19 points. RJ Barrett had 17 in the loss.

New York Knicks vs. Orlando Magic prediction

After winning four in a row, the Knicks have now lost two straight games. However, the past two contests weren’t played against the worst team in the conference. That doesn’t mean that it’s going to be an automatic win for New York, though.

I believe that the Knicks are going to win, but the team’s at the disadvantage after having played yesterday in New York.

Barrett struggled in Saturday’s loss, shooting 4-of-18 from the field, while Mitchell Robinson finished with seven points and two rebounds.

It’s hard to believe that their performances on Sunday will be similar, so while the Cavaliers were at the advantage, Barrett and Robinson are going to come out strong against the Magic (not strong enough to make me go with the over).

We’re taking the Knicks -4.5 and under 216 points.

New York 105, Orlando 97.
