The New York Knicks face off against the Washington Wizards this evening at the Garden, with both teams desperate to string some wins together.

Both the Knicks and Wizards started off the season hot but have since cooled down pretty drastically.

The Knicks are 14 and 17 while the Wizards are 16 and 15 on the season.

Both New York and Washington have won 3 games out of their last 11, but both teams are also currently coming off wins.

As we know, the Knicks have been dealing with players being out due to Covid protocols, so the team has been piecing their lineups together on the fly.

Here is your betting preview for the New York Knicks game

The Wizards haven’t had to deal with as many missing players as the Knicks have, but they’re going to be without Kentavious Caldwell-Pope and most recently, Bradley Beal.

A huge blow to say the least.

As per WynnBett, the line was originally at Knicks +1 at home prior to the news that Beal wouldn’t be playing but has since shifted to Knicks -3.5.

The moneyline went from a ‘pick’em’ at -110 either way now to the Knicks being favored at -155.

Lastly, the Over/Under started at 211 but has dwindled down to just 208 points since the Beal news dropped.

The Knicks are getting back 3 key components to the roster in Obi Toppin, RJ Barrett, and Quentin Grimes and just their presence should be beneficial for the squad in this contest.

As much as we would all like to see former-Knick Damyean Dotson get a little more time to shine, he’ll likely ride the bench for the majority of this game.

On the season, the Knicks are 13 and 18 against the spread while Washington is 13-17-1, so there’s no real trend to see on the spread for tonight’s game.

With all the returning players, the Knicks at -155 is a nice bet to take while it’s still available. Both the Knicks and Wizards go ‘Under’ almost 55% of the time, but with the spread now at 208 due to Beal being out, it scares me.

Both team’s haven’t been great on defense this season and Washington is still a very talented team even without Beal. The public likes the Under here, so I’m fading them.

Final Verdict: Knicks ML -155 and parlaying the Over.
