NY Knicks: 3 trades for Pacers not named Myles Turner
I’ll be honest here, I know there’s something wrong with the NY Knicks but I have not a clue as to what it is.
I feel like they’re better than they’ve been performing and what their record indicates so far this season, so who’s to know if this is all just growing pains or if significant changes must be made.
A lot of the fans believe a trade for Myles Turner could fix some of the team’s issues, as he provides Thibs with one of the best rim-protectors in the league while also being able to stretch the floor.
There’s no question that he has a significantly higher offensive upside than any of the Centers on the roster today, but I don’t think just he alone is the solution to their problems.
Should the NY Knicks trade for any of these players?
That said, I could see the Knicks making a few minor to major moves this year.
With the Pacers likely to start their rebuilding process soon, the names being brought up as targets across the league are of course the aforementioned Myles Turner, All-Star Domantas Sabonis, and Caris LeVert.
And why not?
They’re arguably the 3 best players on the team today and would bring the most value back in return in the form of young pieces and picks.
But this was a Pacers team that’s been building up its roster for years now and was once a perennial contender in the East.
There’s a lot more talent on this team outside of those three names that wouldn’t cost an arm and a leg to acquire.
If the Knicks don’t have any intentions of making any big, splashy moves this season, there are a few veteran players that Indiana would likely be willing to move on from that New York could acquire on the cheap.
Here are 3 players on the Pacers that I think the Knicks could target via trade…that are NOT named Myles Turner.
