Ah, it feels so good to be right, especially when it’s about the New York Knicks.

For those of you who took my advice in yesterday’s betting preview, you’re welcome because I hit on both bets.

Granted, I should have taken the spread but you just never know with the Knicks.

At just -145, you didn’t lose too much juice if you took the Moneyline over the spread, and in regards to the Over/Under, the bulk of the money was going Under so my gut instinct was to instead bet the Over which you could have possibly snatched up at +100 a few hours before tip-off.

On a $100 bet, had you parlayed the Knicks Moneyline and the Over, you still would have profited $238 for a total payout of $338…not too shabby.

A Betting preview for the New York Knicks

I also predicted a bounce-back game for RJ Barrett and boy, did he bounce ALL the way back or what?

He put up 32 points on 7-of-8 from deep, a new career-best for The Maple Mamba.

After being heavily criticized to the media by Coach Thibs just a few days ago, RJ exploded against the Spurs.

It seems to me that Coach knew exactly what he was doing when he did that.

Now, the Knicks face the Pacers tonight, again on the road, on back-to-back nights…and when your team is run by Coach Tom Thibodeau, back-to-backs are kinda the worst if you’re a player.

But as a team, the Knicks have actually fared pretty well during back-to-back games under Thibs.

Last season, the Knicks had a record of 9 and 5 on no rest and so far this season, they have a record of 2 and 1.

This team embodies its star, Julius Randle, and apparently performs better with little to no rest between games.

As per WynnBet, the like for tonight’s game is a 5-point spread and the Over/Under is currently set at 209.5.

The Moneyline for the Knicks is set at +180 and the Pacers’ is set at -210.

To be honest, everything about the lines are weird, and when lines seem a bit funky, it scares the heck outta me.

The Pacers are currently 10 and 16 on the season and supposedly are looking to trade off some of their veterans, like Myles Turner, in hopes of a rebuild.

The Knicks are now 12 and 12 on the season and even though they’ve lost some games recently, they’ve looked a lot better on both sides of the ball since benching Kemba Walker.

Granted, the Pacers beat the breaks off of the Knicks in their first meeting of the season, but the Knicks came back in their second matchup and shut the Pacers down.

Overall, as I said, the line is very weird.

Prediction: Both teams are below .500 against the spread this season, with the Knicks having a record of 11 and 13, while the Pacers are 12-13-1.

Regarding Over/Unders, both teams go Under the majority of the time, with the Knicks and Pacers doing so nearly 54% of the time.

The line is weird, but I’m going with my gut here and since the news dropped yesterday that the Pacers are looking to rebuild, their players are just going to ship it in until they’re dealt.

Final Verdict: I like the Knicks +5 in this one a lot.

Even if they lose (let’s hope that’s not the case), I can’t see them doing so by 6 or more points.

If you want to be bold, just take the Moneyline at +180, but the safer bet is to take the points…although my gut says the Knicks win outright.

As far as the Over/Under, both games the teams have played against each other this season had totals under 209.5.

The first game of the season between the two was at 209 on the dot and the most recent game had a combined total of just 176 points.

Almost 90% of the money is on the Over for some reason, so I’m personally going Under for this one.

If you want to put together a parlay for the game and you think the Knicks are going to win, just take the Moneyline at +180 and you can easily afford to buy a few points on the game total.

Otherwise, just take Knicks at +5 and the Under as is.
