Generally speaking, those guys over at NBA Analysis Network come up with some pretty crummy NY Knicks trades.
This one, I don’t hate nearly as much for a few reasons.
This is a Public Service Announcement to all the guys over there that do in fact write up hypothetical trades…if you’re gonna make fake Knicks trades…just be a Knicks fan first, then do whatever you want to do.
Everyone is entitled to their own opinions, but sometimes, there’s no sense behind the proposed trade ideas and they tend to lean heavily against the Knicks’ favor.
But I digress.
Would you consider a Kevin Knox for Josh Jackson swap for the NY Knicks?
Anyway, here’s the trade that the author thought up over at ‘NAN’:
So, as we can see here, the Knicks receive Josh Jackson while sending Kevin Knox and two 2nd rounders to Detroit.
Believe me, I’m no stranger to Kevin Knox trades, in fact, I’ve written a boatload of articles moving the former Kentucky swingman to the highest bidder.
And I’m well aware the Knicks would be lucky to get a bag of Cool Ranch Doritos in exchange for Knox and his services at this point.
But I still think the Knicks are giving up a tad too much for Josh Jackson.
Here’s a trade I would consider:
Obviously, it’s not too different overall but I’ll explain in the next two pages why I think the trade I proposed is a bit better than the one by NBA Analysis Network, as well as why I believe the two teams should explore the trade ASAP.
