Would you trade a First Round pick for John Wall to the NY Knicks?

This trade makes me sad. John Wall once upon a time cost around 3 to 4 first-round picks. Now, in 2021, I feel old because this trade would now be a steal for the Houston Rockets.

The Rockets trading for John Wall was a mistake.

There is no world where Leon Rose offers a first-round pick for Houston to dump their contract issues on us.

The only first-round pick that is involved in a John Wall trade is the first-round pick to the team receiving John Wall to compensate for having to shell out 1/3rd of their cap space on a guy who plays inefficiently then gets hurt and goes out to clubs.

The Knicks are trying to build a successful basketball team, not a successful club scene.

It is important to note that free agency had not started at the time of writing this article, and the Knicks still could have opted for John Wall’s contract instead of retaining last year’s role players and signing Evan Fournier.

Especially since a few months back, I mentioned Evan Fournier as a sharpshooting target for the Knicks, and I think I’d opt for him over giving a first-round pick for 42 million dollars of essentially dead money.
