I know I’ve said this plenty of times before but I just love how much flexibility the NY Knicks have moving forward.

They can legitimately build this team one of 1000 different ways and they could all potentially work out in the short and long term.

In years past, the Knicks were so heavily reliant on whether or not the superstar(s) that were coming available that summer would consider New York as their next home.

Or if the ping-pong balls during the draft lottery were going to bounce in their favor for once.

But now, whether by hook or by crook, this front office has developed a solid young core that’s of playoff-caliber, plenty of draft capital for the foreseeable future, and a boatload of money to mess around with to bring in the right pieces to bring NYC a winner.

Now, the issue is that because the Knicks are at least a year or two ahead of their rebuild, the pressure is on Leon Rose to capitalize on last year’s success, and that may be much easier said than done.

NY Knicks: What prospect do you think fits best with Julius Randle?

This year’s free agency class is relatively weak, especially in the Knicks’ areas of need.

Because the team’s rebuild is so ahead of its time, New York doesn’t have enough expendable assets on the roster to make a blockbuster type of trade without gutting themselves completely.

It’s a great place to be as a fanbase, but the clock is ticking for the front office to figure out which direction they end up going.

Now, realistically, the best bet for the team probably is to continue building through the draft and not get goaded into making the same silly mistakes the Knicks’ former front offices have been making for what seems like two decades.

Recently in an interview with Coach Thibs at the NBA’s Draft Combine, he mentioned that he’d be looking for wings and ‘guys that can shoot’.

The reason being is simple…if the team plans on having Julius Randle and RJ Barrett as their centerpieces for the foreseeable future, adding more knockdown shooters to create spacing for those two guys is somewhat of a necessity.

So, today we’re gonna give Coach Thibs exactly what he wants…some wings that can shoot.

Here are 4 prospects who fit perfectly alongside Julius Randle.
