New York Knicks Draft: Isaiah Livers

“A versatile, tough, hard-nosed forward who plays a highly efficient game and always makes the right play.” That’s what NBA Draft Room has to say about Isaiah Livers. If that doesn’t scream New York Knicks basketball, I don’t know what does.

Livers is a bulky small forward who can use that size to play multiple positions in the NBA and certainly hold his own as a small forward.

He’s also a deadly three-point shooter – Livers shot it at 41.2% for his career at Michigan, which a career-high of 43.1% last season. He also brought down 6.0 rebounds per game and only turned the ball over about one time per contest.

If New York wants a three-point specialist that helps out in other ways besides just sitting around the arc, then Livers must be their guy. He won’t get the attention on draft night that Kispert will because Kispert’s three-point stroke is just that good.

But Livers isn’t far behind and offers a bit more. If I’m the New York Knicks and Livers is available, I’m taking him with either of my second-round picks.
