Devonte Graham, Cody Zeller and Malik Monk for Frank Ntilikina, Elfrid Payton, Nerlens Noel and two second round picks

I’ll just start this one off with how saddening it is to see LaMelo Ball doing what he’s doing while not wearing orange and blue. With LaMelo BALL-ing out (see what I did there) as of late and Scary Terry absolutely crushing this season to the tune of 20 points per game and 44% from deep on eight 3-point attempts per game, elite sharpshooter Devonte Graham seems to be the odd-man-out.

He’s gone from averaging over 18 points on 37% shooting from deep while taking over nine 3’s per game, down to a measly 11 points per game. Even his shooting from deep is struggling mightily as his attempts are down by almost 2 per game on 30% efficiency.

Seeing how last year could have possibly just been a fluke, Charlotte may look to move on from Graham in exchange for better facilitating and defensive option off the bench. Graham could come in and start at the 2-spot on Day 1, or be one of the first players off the bench and play 25-30 minutes per game.

The trade would also open up the starting PG spot for our boy Immanuel Quickley, which I’m sure many Knicks fans wouldn’t be opposed to. Assuming Graham returns to form, RJ Barrett will never have to take another 3-pointer again if he’s next to a backcourt tandem of IQ and Devonte Graham.

As mentioned in a previously written article, I just love the idea of bringing Malik Monk to New York and allowing him to develop under former University of Kentucky bench coach Kenny Payne. Payne has been able to revitalize a few former UK Wildcat’s careers already so what’s one more?

My ideal lineup would be – Quickley, Burks, Barrett, Randle and Mitchell Robinson, with Rivers, Graham, Bullock, Knox, Zeller off the bench (Burks and Graham would be interchangeable depending on the matchup).
