The New York Knicks will play their last game before the 2019 NBA Trade Deadline on Tuesday, Feb. 5.

The New York Knicks have fallen off a metaphorical cliff with just three wins since Dec. 1, that overtime thriller against the Milwaukee Bucks. It happened days after the team’s season-long three-game winning streak that provided some momentum.

The last Knicks win, however, was on Jan. 4, against the LeBron James-less Los Angeles Lakers, who were in freefall without their superstar. That was officially over one month ago, and New York has lost 13 consecutive games. Only four of them were by single digits.

That leads into Tuesday’s game against the Detroit Pistons. Hardly a force to be reckoned with outside the East’s top eight, head coach Dwane Casey’s team defeated the Knicks earlier this year.

However, Detroit’s star Blake Griffin was involved in trade rumors amid the team’s slip. The Knicks, of course, know a few things about this, after the Kristaps Porzingis trade with the Dallas Mavericks.

The players acquired — Dennis Smith Jr., DeAndre Jordan and Wesley Matthews — all debuted for the Knicks Sunday. Might this become the final game in the blue and orange for at least one of them, though?

The Knicks already started shopping Matthews, as multiple teams have interest in the veteran shooting guard, per Marc Stein of the New York Times. That’s whether a trade or a buyout transpires on the $18.6 million salary — a difficult figure for other teams to match.

It’s also the final Knicks game before Thursday’s 3:00 p.m. ET trade deadline. Whether it’s Matthews or someone else, fans may see multiple players on New York’s side for the final time.
