The Villanova Wildcats have two high-profile 2018 NBA Draft prospects on the roster: Mikal Bridges and Jalen Brunson. Bridges is a projected top-10 draft pick and Brunson is beginning to surface on the first round bubble.

While unlikely to leave Villanova after the 2017-18 campaign, a sleeper prospect with genuine NBA potential is shooting guard Donte DiVincenzo.

DiVincenzo is a redshirt sophomore whose untapped potential has begun to intrigue the masses. His 6’5″ wingspan is a knock against him, but he’s an excellent three-point shooter who isn’t afraid to shoot in traffic or with the game on the line.

For Scott Perry and company, the mere thought of adding a sharpshooter is appealing given the fact that the New York Knicks rank No. 30 in the NBA in three-point field goals made.

The key to DiVincenzo’s improving draft stock is his emergence as a capable distributor. He’s an excellent passer in the traditional sense, and his improved handle and underrated court vision have created combo guard potential.

DiVincenzo’s draft stock is based mostly on his three-point shooting, but he’s developed into a well-rounded player with viable NBA potential.
