The Sweet 16 will begin on Thursday, Mar. 22. Which 2018 NBA Draft sleepers should Scott Perry and the New York Knicks be scouting?

The Sweet 16 will commence on Thursday, Mar. 22, and a vast majority of the pre-tournament favorites won’t be there. That could provide the New York Knicks with reason to ignore the event, but the NBA-caliber talent is still present.

Having already evaluated the top 16 prospects in the Sweet 16, however, a new question beckons: Who are the 2018 NBA Draft sleepers worth knowing?

In many instances, the sleepers can be as compelling as the prospects who have already surfaced on the NBA Draft radar. They have more to prove, but that often serves as a platform for breakout performances by those who were previously viewed as superior prospects.

Thankfully, there are viable candidates to break out as soon as the Sweet 16 with showings that would validate the belief that they belong in the NBA Draft discussion.

For the Knicks, this could provide an opportunity to identify potential targets in the second round. It could also shed light on prospects who may go undrafted, but would be worth targeting as free agents and potential Summer League or G League standouts.

The question is: Which 2018 NBA Draft sleepers should the New York Knicks keep an eye on? Moreover: How might they fit long-term?
