Kristaps Porzingis

Kristaps Porzingis turned things around during the seven-game road trip that many expected to end the season. He shot with less volume, but improved his efficiency and turned in a number of quality performances along the way.

With the New York Knicks matched up against a Brooklyn Nets team that lacks the size to contain the 7’3″ Goliath, he turned in a stellar performance in his return to The Mecca.

Porzingis took no prisoners, pouring in 28 points, five rebounds, two offensive boards, two assists, two blocks, and one steal in 30 minutes of court time. He shot 9-of-19 from the field, 6-of-8 from beyond the arc, and 4-of-4 from the free throw line.

The six three-point field goals made were a new career-high, as well as a sign of the dominance that he’s beginning to achieve from distance.

Porzingis is now shooting a career-high 40.5 percent from three-point range. He’s shooting a blistering 54.8 percent from beyond the arc over the course of the past eight games, which comes on a similarly impressive average of 2.4 conversions per contest.

With a chance to right the ship at home and enter the upcoming clash with the Boston Celtics on a high note, Porzingis put together yet another strong showing.
