How To Watch

Date: Thursday, October 19
Time: 8:00 p.m. ET
Channel: TNT

The New York Knicks will begin the 2017-18 NBA regular season on primetime television. The reason is more about the players on the Oklahoma City Thunder than those on the Knicks, but the storylines are compelling on both ends.

Come Thursday, October 19, you’ll be able to watch the Knicks open their season on TNT—a nationally televised game.

It’s fair to surmise that the primary reason this game will be on national television is the 2017-18 debut of reigning MVP Russell Westbrook. Oklahoma City becomes even more appealing when one considers the fact that it added All-NBA honorees Carmelo Anthony and Paul George.

Considering Anthony used to play for the Knicks, there’s even more reason to support the presence of the Thunder on national television.

With New York appearing on TNT, fans from around the NBA will receive an early look at how good this team can be. The expectation is that Oklahoma City will run away with the victory, but there’s reason to be intrigued.

Come Thursday, the Knicks will receive their first look at which of their players are mentally ready for the pressure of playing under the New York spotlight.
