Omer Yurtseven, North Carolina State Wolfpack

Position: Center
Age: 18 (6/19/1998)
Height, Weight, Wingspan: 6’11.75″, 248 pounds, 7’1″
2016-17 Slash Line: .457/.333/.719
2016-17 Season Averages: 18.9 MPG, 5.9 PPG, 4.4 RPG, 1.4 ORPG, 1.2 APG, 0.7 BPG

The second big man on this list is North Carolina State Wolfpack center Omer Yurtseven. It’s still possible that Yurtseven will return to college for his sophomore season, but he’s a prospect with intriguing upside and immediate value.

Standing at just under 7’0″ with respectable athleticism and a bulked up frame, Yurtseven could be a quality NBA player in the right situation.

Yurtseven has added 20 pounds to his frame since 2015, which is a testament to his work ethic. He still needs to add more muscle, but the fact that he’s progressing in this manner is a sign that he’s willing to do what it takes to succeed.

On the court, Yurtseven has a versatile game that may be a work in progress, but could perfectly fit the New York Knicks and the triangle offense.

Yurtseven’s primary strength at this stage is his passing, as evidenced by his average of 2.5 assists per 40 minutes. He also has the potential to be a consistent shooter from midrange, and with the proper training, could expand his range to beyond the arc.

Yurtseven is a solid athlete with the mobility, touch around the basket, and general instincts as a scorer to be groomed into an offensive force of nature.
