In the wake of Derrick Rose’s season-ending knee injury, the New York Knicks may opt to utilize the 2017 NBA Draft to find the point guard of the future.

The New York Knicks have been grooming point guard Derrick Rose for a long-term future with the organization. It was a low-risk experiment that may not have paid off in 2016-17, but yielded intriguing results that indicated a promising long-term future.

Unfortunately, Rose has suffered yet another knee injury. It will not only end his season, but call his future with the Knicks into question.

The upside for the Knicks is that there are a number of intriguing options on the free agency front. That includes a pair of All-NBA point guards, two All-Stars, and a veteran who has made multiple Conference Finals as a starter.

Though that all sounds attractive in its nature, there’s an alternative option that New York would benefit from exploring: the 2017 NBA Draft.

The 2017 NBA Draft is widely regarded as one of the deepest and most promising events in recent history. No position has created more reason for intrigue than point guard, with more than a handful of prospects possessing star potential.

The question is: which point guards should the New York Knicks consider as potential replacements for Derrick Rose in the 2017 NBA Draft?
