North Carolina Tar Heels point guard Joel Berry II has a chance to come off the board during the second round of the 2017 NBA Draft. He’s not the most ball-dominant of players, but he’s an outstanding 3-point shooter who takes excellent care of the ball.

If the New York Knicks decide to draft a point guard during the second round, then it stands to reason that Berry will be on the radar.

Berry’s primary skill is his 3-point shooting, which fits well in the triangle offense. Over the course of the past two seasons, he’s converted a combined 150 3-point field goals made, including 82 in 2016-17, on an efficient shooting mark of .388.

Berry has also done a solid job of creating penetration and getting to the free throw line during the 2016-17 season, where he’s a highly efficient shooter.

Berry’s shining moment during the 2017 NCAA Tournament was a 26-point eruption during UNC’s 92-80 win over the Butler Bulldogs. He shot 8-of-13 from the field, 3-of-7 from 3-point range, and 7-of-9 from the free throw line.

If the New York Knicks are looking for a point guard to step up during the Final Four, then Berry is one of the players to watch—both with and without the ball in his hands.
