Tyler Dorsey is making a powerful push for being named the Most Outstanding Player of the 2017 NCAA Tournament. He’s been sensational in all three games for an Oregon Ducks team that’s headed to the Elite Eight for a second consecutive season.

Dating back to the Pac-12 Tournament, Dorsey has now scored at least 20 points in six consecutive postseason games.

During the Sweet 16, Dorsey continued his emergence as one of the most revered clutch performers in the country. He poured in 20 points, three rebounds, two assists, and two steals while shooting 5-of-7 from beyond the arc.

One game after hitting the game-winning shot against the Rhode Island Rams, he hit another game-winner with a layup against the Michigan Wolverines.

Dorsey is a second-round prospect, but that actually works in the New York Knicks’ favor. If New York were to select him with one of its two second-round draft picks, it would land a point guard whose skill set fits the triangle offense.

An elite shooter with a selfless mentality and a knack for hitting the big shot, Dorsey could be the Derek Fisher of Phil Jackson’s triangle scheme.
