The Xavier Musketeers are going to the Elite Eight and Trevon Bluiett is as responsible for the team’s success as any individual. The junior shooting guard has been a revelation in the 2017 NCAA Tournament with three stellar performances.
Bluiett is beginning to gain steam in NBA Draft circles, and the New York Knicks could be the team he lands with in the second round.
Bluiett began the 2017 NCAA Tournament by recording 21 points and four steals in a 76-65 upset of the Maryland Terrapins. A round later, he doubled the ante with 29 points, six rebounds, and three assists in a shocking victory over the Florida State Seminoles.
Just when it seemed as though the Cinderella Story couldn’t get any better, Bluiett went off for 25 points in a 73-71 upset of the No. 1 seed Arizona Wildcats.
Bluiett is a 6’6″ shooting guard with an NBA body and an intriguing stroke from beyond the arc. He’s a quality ball-handler who can facilitate, create off the bounce, and take over in the clutch against NBA-caliber competition.
