The Michigan State Spartans have a long history of producing well-rounded players who do a bit of everything on the offensive end of the floor. All-NBA power forward Draymond Green is the shining example of Tom Izzo’s influence and eye for talent.

Though some remain skeptical of which position he’ll play in the NBA, there’s rational intrigue pertaining to the upside of current Michigan State star Miles Bridges.

Bridges added fuel to the fire during the Round of 64 when he led the Spartans to a dominant win over the Miami Hurricanes. Despite being the lower-seeded team and a questionable inclusion in the NCAA Tournament, Michigan State ran away with a 78-58 victory.

Bridges anchored the attack with 18 points, nine rebounds, two offensive rebounds, three assists, and one block on 8-of-12 shooting from the field and 2-of-4 shooting from 3-point range.

The knock against Bridges is his positional ambiguity, as it’s unclear whether or not he can play small forward. If he can’t, then it stands to reason that the New York Knicks will pass over him during the 2017 NBA Draft.

Bridges may or may not be the ideal target for New York, but he’s one of the most intriguing prospects in this draft class.
