T-3. Walt Frazier: 7

Perhaps the most recognizable player in New York Knicks history, Walt Frazier was as prolific as a player as he was iconic in style. He was an elite defensive player who could do it all on offense and routinely stepped up in the biggest of moments.

Viewed by many as the greatest player in franchise history, Frazier ranks No. 3 amongst Knicks players in All-Star Game appearances.

Frazier made the All-Star Game in every season from 1969-70 to 1975-76. He also made the All-Defensive First Team in every season from 1968-69 to 1974-75, and was an All-NBA honoree in every season from 1968-69 to 1974-75, as well.

Frazier won the NBA All-Star Game MVP award in 1975 and took home the same honor during the 1971 NBA-ABA All-Star Game.

Impressive a resume as that may be, it wouldn’t be complete without Clyde’s two NBA championship rings. That includes 1970, when Frazier led New York to its first title by recording 36 points and 19 assists against Jerry West and the Los Angeles Lakers in Game 7 of the NBA Finals.

Eternally underrated and often misunderstood by rabid Knicks fans who fail to understand how high he himself set the expectations for greatness, Frazier has a case to be made for franchise GOAT status.
