T-5. Richie Guerin: 6

Perhaps the most underrated star in New York Knicks history, Richie Guerin recorded six All-Star Game appearances in the orange and blue. He was an outstanding scorer who earned three All-NBA nods and was inducted into the Hall of Fame.

With six All-Star Game appearances in seven full seasons with the Knicks, Guerin ties Carmelo Anthony for the fifth-most selections in franchise history.

Guerin averaged upwards of 20 points per game in four of his seven seasons with the Knicks. That includes a legendary 1961-62 campaign, during which he averaged 29.5 points, 6.9 assists, and 6.4 rebounds on 44.2 percent shooting from the field.

For perspective, the only other players to average at least 29.0 points, 6.0 assists, and 6.0 rebounds per game during the 1960s were Oscar Robertson and Jerry West.

To date, Guerin ranks No. 5 in Knicks history with four seasons averaging at least 20 points per game. He scored upwards of 10,000 career points with the Knicks and finished his tenure in New York with averages of 20.1 points, 6.4 rebounds, and 5.3 assists per game.

Guerin may not be the first player referenced when discussing the history of the Knicks, but he deserves far more respect than he deserves.
