Pro: Efficient Offense

If there’s one thing that Arron Afflalo is all but guaranteed to provide, it’s efficient offense. He rarely turns the ball over, and has a career slash line of .452/.385/.820 through nine NBA seasons.

Afflalo may not be able to fill the shoes of a No. 2 scoring option, but he’s certainly reliable for an efficient evening of double-digit scoring numbers

Jeff Hornacek‘s offense requires the perimeter players to be able to consistently space the floor. Afflalo, of course, is one of the more efficient 3-point shooters and capable midrange scorers in the NBA.

Considering Gerald Green came out of nowhere to make 204 3-point field goals on 40.0 percent shooting in 2013-14, it stands to reason that Hornacek can help Afflalo thrive.

Afflalo isn’t as explosive as Green, but the way he’d be utilized in the halfcourt would be similar. Green wa oftens given isolation possessions that started in the mid-post, which is exactly where Afflalo is at his best.

There’s no such thing as an actually perfect match, but Afflalo’s strengths could be maximized in coach Hornacek’s system.
