After losing to the Bucks on the road in the In-Season Tournament, the New York Knicks are in Boston to face the Celtics, who also lost in the quarterfinals. The Celtics had three full days off, while the Knicks had two.

New York has already played Boston twice this season, both games resulting in a loss. In the most recent game on Nov. 13, Jalen Brunson had 26 points (10-of-21) and Julius Randle had 25 (7-of-19). The Knicks were without RJ Barrett, who was dealing with a migraine.

Kristaps Porzingis has played well against New York this season, including his best game thus far. On opening night, Porzingis torched New York on both ends of the court, finishing with 30 points (5-of-9 from three), eight rebounds, and four blocks.

The former Knick has been sidelined for the past couple of weeks with a calf strain that he suffered against the Magic, a game the Celtics lost. He's been working his way back and hopes to return to the lineup (subscription required) on Friday.

Kristaps Porzingis' status for tonight's game vs. Knicks

Kristaps Porzingis (calf) is probable. He said after practice on Tuesday that he "should be good to go" against New York on Friday. Porzingis last played on Nov. 24.
