The New York Knicks will meet up with the Celtics again in the preseason before they square off to kickstart the regular season on October 25.
Last Monday, New York beat Boston, 114-107, behind Immanuel Quickley’s game-high 21 points. The Celtics were without their starters as the game fell on the second half of a back-to-back for them, so Kristaps Porzingis didn’t play in his first visit to MSG with Boston.
The Knicks are 1-1 in the preseason, while the Celtics are 2-1 with two wins over the Sixers. Tuesday’s game marks both teams’ second to last exhibition game, so maybe Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown will make an appearance after sitting in Boston’s previous two contests.
