The NBA board of governors approved a new rest policy on Wednesday, and during the Adam Silver press conference, the commissioner briefly touched on the New York Knicks-Raptors lawsuit. The Knicks filed the lawsuit on Aug. 21.

The lawsuit alleges that New York’s former director of video, analytics, and player development Ikechukwu Azotam took proprietary information and shared it with his new employer, Toronto. Azotam had been with the Knicks since 2020 and was hired by the Raptors this summer.

The Athletic’s Mike Vorkunov asked Silver about the lawsuit, to which Silver answered:

In other Knicks news, former guard Jeremy Lin announced he’s signed with the New Taipei Kings for the 2023-24 season. He’s well known for the Linsanity era in New York. The last time the 35-year-old played in the NBA was the 2018-19 season, where he played for the eventual NBA champion, the Raptors.
