Bojan Bogdanovic, Detroit Pistons

Is this finally the season that the Detroit Pistons trade Bojan Bogdanovic? It kind of has to be, right? If so, he could emerge as one of the most sought-after trade targets at the deadline this season. Bogdanovic, 34, is coming off arguably the best season of his career thus far in which he averaged 22 points and four rebounds on 49 percent shooting from the field and 41 percent shooting from 3-point range. With two years left on his current contract, he’s a player that could be a premier trade candidate this season.

The big question is whether any team is going to offer what the Pistons would likely be asking for – a first-round pick and a young player or two first-round picks. That’s the value that a player like Bogdanovic has right now. While Bogdanovic as your first or second option may not move the needle much, Bogdanovic as the team’s third or fourth option could help a team like the Knicks cause some serious problems in the Eastern Conference.

Would the Knicks feel as if making a move for Bogdanovic would help them make a huge jump up the standings? That’s what the decision could come down to.
