In 2022-23, fans saw one New York Knicks player make the All-Star Game, Julius Randle. While fans can argue that Jalen Brunson should have made it, Randle was the lone player to be named a reserve. He has been the only Knick named an All-Star since Kristaps Porzingis in 2018.

However, entering the 2023-24 season, fans could see the Knicks have more than one All-Star for the first time in a while. These three Knicks showed at times last season that they could make the next All-Star Game. Hopefully, fans will see more than just Randle suit up in Indiana.

3 New York Knicks players who are most likely to be named All-Stars in 2024

3. RJ Barrett

This may seem wild. However, RJ Barrett’s playoff run to cap off an inconsistent 2022-23 season has fans excited for the future. It may be a stretch, but if Barrett develops into a more consistent player, the hype around the Knicks could push him to be named to the All-Star Game.

Barrett always puts up good numbers on paper. However, once you look at his efficiency and watch him play, you see why many fans are so low on Barrett’s potential. Despite this, it’s only a matter of time before fans see Barrett become the star he was destined to be.

His defensive issues may remain in 2022-23, but if he can continue to develop a more well-rounded offensive game, the Knicks could be in good hands. The Knicks need Barrett to become this sort of player offensively. Randle and Brunson can only do so much on their own at times, and if one of them gets hurt, the Knicks need someone like Barrett to step up.

Hopefully, fans will finally see Barrett make the leap. If not, his time in New York could be cut short. The Knicks have a championship window, and they cannot afford to waste it by allowing Barrett to play so poorly. It will take a lot, but out of every player on the Knicks, Barrett has the third-highest odds of making the All-Star Game.
