Following the signing of Donte DiVincenzo, the New York Knicks now have three former Villanova players on their roster in Jalen Brunson, Josh Hart, and DiVincenzo. Not only are these three all from Nova, but they all played for the same championship team in 2016.

There are still a few former Villanova players in the NBA that aren’t in New York. If the Knicks wish to continue the trend of adding former Wildcats, they should consider these three players.

3. PG Ryan Arcidiacono

Obviously, if the Knicks were to sign Ryan Arcidiacono, he wouldn’t play very often. In fact, Arcidiacono was on the Knicks from Feb. 2022 to Feb. 2023 and served a similar role before being included in the Josh Hart trade.

Now, with Arcidiacono being a free agent, we wouldn’t be surprised to see the Knicks bring him in as a bench warmer. He already has chemistry with Hart, Brunson, and DiVincenzo. Arcidiacono would honestly just be a cool player to bring in for the locker room.

It wouldn’t cost much at all to sign Arcidiacono and we know the three aforementioned Villanova boys would favor signing the 29-year-old. The only problem is that the Knicks already have plenty of guard depth. While Arcidiacono wouldn’t take up much space on the floor, he would take a roster spot from another guard that could potentially contribute.

We doubt that the Knicks will sign him due to positional restraints. However, don’t be surprised if Arcidiacono were to return to New York to join his former college teammates.
