With the Las Vegas Summer League underway, several New York Knicks fans are excited to see the team’s young talent play professional-level basketball for the first time.

The Summer League typically isn’t the most hyped-up event in the league, even with the elite talent that will be playing this year. Some fans have been left in the dark about when the Knicks actually start playing, especially when you consider that some teams have already played in Sacramento and Utah.

When does the New York Knicks’ Summer League start?

According to NBA.com, this is the official schedule for the Knicks during their time in Las Vegas:

Saturday, July 8th versus Philadelphia at 5:00 PM EST on NBA TV

Sunday, July 9th versus Brooklyn at 5:30 PM EST on NBA TV

Wednesday, July 12th versus Orlando at 8:00 PM EST on ESPN2

Friday, July 14th versus Boston at 7:00 PM EST on ESPN2

Fifth Summer League game: TBD

New York has a bit of a later start to Summer League than other teams. However, at least they will have two nationally televised games on July 12th and 14th. It’s unfortunate that fans won’t get to see them face any of the top rookies from this year’s class, such as Victor Wembanyama. Despite this, the team should still be pretty darn fun to watch.

With the schedule and roster released, New York looks to be all ready to go for this year’s Summer League. Hopefully, Dice Yoshimoto can bring the Knicks back to the Summer League Championship and potentially even win it this time.

The team may not be as stacked with talent as it was last summer. However, fans should still be confident in Yoshimoto’s coaching abilities. Maybe the team will surprise everyone and win it all in Las Vegas.
