3. SF/PF Joe Ingles

Joe Ingles is far from the most exciting player the Knicks could add this offseason. However, the three-point shooting he’d add on the wing could solve some big problems for New York. He may not be a top role player like he once was, but Ingles is still a solid and relatively consistent player given his age.

In 46 games last season, Ingles averaged 6.9 points, 2.8 rebounds, and 3.3 assists while shooting 43.5% from the field and 40.9% from three on 4.4 attempts. That percentage with the volume he had is pretty incredible for the level of player Ingles is. He may not provide much more than his shooting, but the Knicks don’t need a player like him to do more than that.

Ingles would fit well alongside Immanuel Quickley and Josh Hart off the bench. The way Ingles works in the off-ball would mesh with the way those two handle the ball. It’s all just a matter of whether or not the Knicks wish to target the 35-year-old.

Bringing in a player like Ingles would bring a level of consistency from three that the team desperately needed last season. Similar to Green, it likely wouldn’t cost much at all to sign the veteran.
