1. SG Donte DiVincenzo

The Knicks already have two Villanova boys from the 2016 championship run in Jalen Brunson and Josh Hart. Why not bring in a third in the form of Donte DiVincenzo? Hart has already spoken about the potential of playing with DiVincenzo in New York and considering that the Knicks’ MLE is likely what he’d make on the open market anyways, it would make sense if he considered joining a couple of his old friends.

DiVincenzo would be a near-perfect fit alongside Quickley and Hart off the bench. Not only can he shoot, but he is also a solid playmaker and elite defender. He’d be exactly what New York needs and the team shouldn’t hesitate to try bringing him in.

This past season, DiVincenzo averaged 9.4 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 3.5 assists while shooting 43.5% from the field and 39.7% from deep on 5.3 attempts. Similar to Quickley, DiVincenzo is also a great defensive player for his size and position. Watching these two in the same backcourt would make for some incredibly fun basketball on both sides of the ball.

We know that Brunson and Hart will be pulling for the Knicks to bring in DiVincenzo, it’s just up to Leon Rose to get the job done. Adding this sort of player will go a long way in pushing the Knicks closer to contention.
