3. SF Buddy Hield

One of the biggest issues surrounding the Knicks last season was their three-point shooting. Not only did the team rank 19th in the league in three-point percentage, but the Knicks as a whole collapsed come playoff time and shot 29.2%.

How do you fix this problem? Add one of the best three-point shooters ever, of course! In all seriousness, the Knicks have to try their hardest to acquire Buddy Hield. He may not be much more than a three-point shooter, but he is so good at this skill that it’s worth giving up meaningful assets for.

In 80 games this past season, Hield averaged 16.8 points, 5.0 rebounds, and 2.8 assists while shooting 45.8% from the field and 42.5% from beyond the arc on 8.5 attempts. Whether he comes off the bench or starts, Hield would make an instant impact to the Knicks’ offensive capabilities.

The only thing that really makes this deal tricky is that Hield is on a one-year deal entering the 2023-24 season. Despite this, fans should be confident that the Knicks can work out an extension with the 30-year-old if they manage to acquire him on the trade market.
