2. Mitchell Robinson
Despite a relatively disappointing series against the Heat, Mitchell Robinson put together his best season as a pro. However, the Knicks could be interested in capitalizing on his value to find a much better fit down low.
Robinson isn’t a bad fit by any means, but adding a center who can space the floor a little better or one that is a more versatile defensive player could bring tons of benefits to the Knicks. In 59 games, Robinson averaged 7.4 points, 9.4 rebounds, and 1.8 blocks while shooting 67.1% from the field.
Something worth mentioning is that Robinson averaged 4.5 offensive rebounds a game, which is enough to lead the NBA among players who qualify. Robinson may struggle to shoot free throws and guard offensive players outside of the paint, but for being a second-round pick he is more than serviceable.
Fans would love to see Robinson stay around but if the Knicks have the opportunity to acquire a player who can space the floor down low then they may want to pull off a trade.
