The NBA Draft Lottery is finally here, and for the first time since 2016, the New York Knicks are at risk of not having a pick in the 2023 NBA Draft. The last hope that New York has is being awarded either the No. 11 or No. 12 pick in the draft lottery, but the odds of either scenario happening aren’t high.

Because the Mavericks finished with the 10th-worst record in the regular season, Dallas has a 65.9% chance of having the No. 10 pick in this year’s draft. Per Tankathon, there’s a 19% chance that the pick will fall to No. 11 and a 1.2% chance that the pick will fall to No. 12. If that happens, New York will have a 2023 draft pick. The draft lottery hasn’t been kind to the Knicks in years past, but perhaps that will change on Tuesday.

In other news, now that the Sixers’ season has come to an end, the James Harden-Rockets speculation has grown stronger. On Monday, ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reported that if Houston is awarded the No. 1 pick via the draft lottery, that won’t affect Harden reuniting with the Rockets. Woj added that he thinks that Harden is “very serious” about returning to Houston.
