It’s now or never for the New York Knicks. After the team’s worst performance in the playoffs thus far in Game 4 on Monday, the Knicks face a 3-1 deficit. New York is 0-14 when down 3-1 and Miami is 14-0 when up 3-1. It’s not looking good for the Knicks.

Ankle injuries have been an issue for New York and Miami in the Eastern Conference Semifinals. Julius Randle missed Game 1 with an ankle sprain and Jimmy Butler sat out in Game 2 with a rolled ankle. Jalen Brunson was listed as questionable ahead of Game 2 with right ankle soreness, but he winded up playing. He helped to secure the Knicks’ lone win of the series thus far, but fans have noticed that he hasn’t been 100 percent. The same for Randle, but neither player has gone in depth about their nagging ankle injuries.

Then there’s Immanuel Quickley, who missed Game 4 with an ankle sprain that he suffered late in Game 3. His status for what could be New York’s final game of the season isn’t reassuring.

Without a doubt, the Knicks are going to need Brunson and Randle to be at their best to avoid elimination on Wednesday.
