If you’re a New York Knicks fan that sat through the entire 107-90 Game 2 loss to the Cavaliers, you’re entitled to compensation. No, really. Cleveland did what needed to be done to not go to New York down 0-2. The Knicks stole a game on the road, so while the series being tied at 1-1 is nothing to be disappointed about, it’s how the team looked in the loss that was so defeating.

New York played one of its worst games of the year days after a thrilling 101-97 Game 1 win. There wasn’t one player that had a good game. Not even Jalen Brunson, who scored 20 points but shot 5-of-17 from the field and 1-of-8 from three. Julius Randle led the Knicks with 22 points, but he shot a horrid 8-of-20 and committed a game-high six turnovers. After saying that he was “tired as hell” after returning from a sprained left ankle in Game 1, Randle looked out of it.

The good news is that the series is now headed to New York, the best city for playoff basketball. The Knicks are going to need the MSG crowd to be extra rowdy this weekend.

While New York spoiled every fan’s Tuesday night, Twitter was at least an entertaining place to be. It reminded the fan base that they didn’t have to suffer alone.

After the Cavaliers talked about matching the Knicks’ Game 1 physicality in Game 2, the officials essentially were overseeing a wrestling match. There were several questionable no-calls, including one where Jalen Brunson got laid out by Jarrett Allen, but the officials certainly weren’t why New York lost the game.

Okay, that one is a little funny.

Do yourself a favor and don’t tune into First Take. There’s a 100 percent chance that Stephen A. Smith is going to be screaming about the Knicks not trading for Donovan Mitchell.

Oh, if only the Knicks were headed to MSG with a 2-0 series lead. Wishful thinking.

Alright, let’s end this on a lighter note. It’s time to put this game in the past.
