The New York Knicks are back in the playoffs as the No. 5 seed in the East and will take on the No. 4 Cavaliers in the first round. Game 1 of the series will be on Saturday, April 15 at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse in Cleveland.

A New York-Cleveland first-round matchup is significant for many reasons, but Donovan Mitchell has been the main talking point. The Knicks were labeled as the frontrunners to trade for Mitchell during the offseason, but the Cavaliers shocked the NBA world by completing a trade with the Jazz.

After not landing Mitchell, many believed that New York would be a play-in team at best. Thanks to a key offseason addition that actually happened, the Knicks are one of the top teams in the conference. New York’s next task will be proving that it’s worthy of advancing to the Eastern Conference Semifinals for the first time since 2012-13.

Now that the full first-round schedule for the Knicks-Cavaliers matchup has been announced, let’s take a look at when each game will be.
