After securing a much-needed win against the Heat on Wednesday, the New York Knicks are in Cleveland to face the Cavaliers in what will likely wind up being a preview of the first round of the playoffs. Cleveland is 2.5 games back from Philadelphia, the No. 3 seed.

The Cavaliers, who have won four of their last five, have already clinched a playoff berth. Cleveland is coming off a 120-118 loss to Dejounte Murray and the Hawks on Thursday.

Beating the Cavaliers would help the Knicks continue to separate themselves from the No. 6 Nets and No. 7 Heat. However, New York will be without Julius Randle, who left Wednesday’s game with a sprained left ankle. After getting Jalen Brunson back from a hand injury, Randle will miss some time.

The Knicks managed to win against the Heat with no Randle in the second half, and it turns out that they’ll have to navigate the rest of the regular season without him.
