1. Jalen Hood-Schifino, G, Indiana

Jalen Hood-Schifino, in an ideal scenario, is a prospect that would make a lot of sense down the line next to Jalen Brunson. He’s a big guard (at 6-foot-6) that could thrive as a playmaker in the right system. JHS is coming off a freshman season in which he averaged 13 points, four rebounds, and four assists on 42% shooting from the field and 34% shooting from three-point range. His great size could also lead to a path where he becomes a difference-making defender in the NBA.

If he was a more consistent shooter, he is probably in consideration to be a lottery pick. If the Knicks believe that they can bring him along with his shot-taking decision-making, he’s certainly a player that could pay dividends for the team down the line.

I would be extremely surprised if JHS wasn’t relatively high on New York’s initial NBA Draft big board, especially if they’re looking to add a versatile guard at some point during the offseason.

There are many different avenues and prospects (attached to those avenues) that the Knicks can pursue in the 2023 NBA Draft. And there’s a good chance that many, if not all, of the prospects listed will be in consideration at some point before the draft.
