Two nights after securing a double-overtime win over the Celtics, the New York Knicks will look to push their winning streak to double-digits against the Hornets. Charlotte sits in the No. 14 spot in the East with a 20-46 record and has lost its last three games.

The Knicks are 2-0 against the Hornets this season, with the most recent game being a 121-102 victory on Dec. 9.

Charlotte is in the race for Victor Wembanyama, so at this point in the season, the more games that the Hornets lose, the better. This is a game that New York should win, even with Jalen Brunson out.

Is Jalen Brunson playing vs Hornets?

Jalen Brunson woke up on Sunday morning with left foot soreness, which is what kept him out of New York’s game against Boston. Tom Thibodeau said he didn’t think it was “anything serious” but that Brunson was sidelined because the team wanted to “make sure he’s good.”

He’ll be out for the second straight game on Tuesday.

Is LaMelo Ball playing vs Knicks?

Last Monday, LaMelo Ball fractured his ankle in a 117-106 win over the Pistons. The 21-year-old underwent surgery last Wednesday and is out for the remainder of the season. Ball played in only 36 games for Charlotte this season.
