How have Knicks players spent their NBA All-Star break?
The New York Knicks were represented at All-Star Weekend in Salt Lake City by Julius Randle, Quentin Grimes, and Jericho Sims. The team won’t be back in action again until Friday, Feb. 24 against the Wizards.
Before returning back to the city to finish what should end as an exciting regular season, Knicks players are enjoying their final stretch of relaxation before the summer. New York is the No. 6 team in the East, so fans might be able to catch some playoff action at MSG in a couple of months.
Let’s hope that the Knicks will be ready to kick things into high gear after they have been able to spend some time with family and friends.
Here’s how Knicks players have spent their All-Star break
After spending last season’s All-Star break in New York with his phone off, Julius Randle represented the Knicks for the second time in four seasons at All-Star Weekend. Since the festivities ended, Randle has been spending some extra time in Utah with his wife and two young sons.
Jericho Sims is somewhere tropical after participating in the Slam Dunk Contest while Quentin Grimes attended a game at his former school, the University of Houston.
Based on his Instagram stories and TikToks, Mitchell Robinson has gotten to spend some time in what looks to be Louisiana. Immanuel Quickley set some time aside for self-care and got a pedicure.
Obi Toppin, a fan favorite, linked up with Taj Gibson, another fan favorite, in Mexico.
Josh Hart, who is 3-0 as a Knick, ventured somewhere tropical with his fiance and what looked to be a group of friends.
As for RJ Barrett, he hasn’t stopped practicing. He told the media that he would spend time relaxing and “going to work.”
Will Knicks fans get to see a similar version of the RJ Barrett that finished the second half of the 2021-22 season strong? If he can manage to do that, he’ll be crucial for New York.
Hopefully, the other players were able to spend some time recharging for what lies ahead once the break concludes.
